About Journazza
Journazza is located in a beautiful town at the Norwegian west coast. She returned to the rainy city of Bergen after having studied and worked abroad, and is for the first time, loving her life in Bergen.
Liz’ curiousity and lust for learning languages, led her to study BA Media Studies La Trobe University, down under, and an MA in Transnational Communication, at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She’s fascinated by the way we orientate ourselves in the world and what information we base our knowledge of the world we live in. Hence, she wrote her thesis on Foreign News in the Norwegian Press – the reliance on news agencies and the appearance of identical stories. She discovered that 75% of the foreign news in the four major newspapers came from the national news agency, NTB, which in turn is owned by the newspapers. She thinks the economy’s power over the quality of content is deeply concerning.
